House in Proastio - Mani, Greece (2004)

The house is situated on a very steep and wooded slope just outside the village of Proastio and has a remarkable panoramic view from which the design was generated.

The house sits within and relates to the landscape on three different levels. The entrance is via the study which overlooks the double height living room and is connected by a staicase housed in a light timber and glass structure. A shared terrace is accessed from both the dining and living room and provides access to the lower garden as well as an ideal outdoor eating area. The lower, more private level contains the master bedroom, guest bedroom and utility/store room.
